Ashraya and Neelbagh School, Bangalore

Ashraya extends holistic solutions to families to improve their quality of life, by focusing on women and children who are amongst the most vulnerable areas of India. Their projects include: Neelbagh Rural School, Community Crèches and the Tara Women’s Centre.

The Neelbagh school a residential, co-education school for children of migrant workers; today it offers admission to day scholars as well. All the students are served a nutritious mid-day meal and their health and development is monitored regularly.

Their Community Crèches provide a safe and healthy environment for children of construction laborers, petty traders and domestic workers during the workday, thereby enabling the women in these families to work and gain financial stability.

CAB supports the Community Crèche, which includes 35 children of migrant workers, and also supports the educational programs for 30 students at the Ashraya Neelbagh School.
